ABOUT ME
“I teach others is that we all need balance in life. If you don’t have your health you don’t have anything.”
As the first Norwegian woman to climb Mount Everest from the Nepali side, and after surviving Nepal’s 2015 major earthquake, resilience and determination underpin my ethos. Today, I have helped Fortune 500 companies like IBM, Toyota and Vodafone reach their own "Everest" by leveraging my business skills and warrior mentality.
“Everything is possible if you are willing to work for it.”
I grew up on a small sheep farm on the west coast of Norway. Both my grandparents and my father were entrepreneurs. These role models taught me to be strong and independent which led me to living and working all over the world including the USA, Nordics, Greece, Netherlands and Brazil.
In 2008 I received IBM’s Leadership Award and was first Scandinavian participant in IBM’s Corporate Services Corps. But I knew I wanted something more fulfilling in life.
After giving up my successful career in management consulting and HR to pursue my dreams, I am proof that by having the courage to follow your heart, you can get what you want. This is why helping others achieve the same through my talks, workshops and expeditions is my mission.
In addition to my motivational speaking, expedition leading and training I am a published author in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Angels and Miracles, and a certified NLP Coach by The Society of Neuro-Linguistic Programming and a certified Wilderness First Responder by NOLS.
You can also read the story of how I healed from burnout and committed to living life according to my values in the upcoming book, Holistic Healing.
